Product Description / Information

“The Confident Guitarist would create such absurd melodies among the strings of Mong Country that neither the note nor the rhythm made sense; but when each tone was combined with the guitarist’s stance as a monument of absolute self-confidence, the public thought it was a ‘manifesto of the new age.’ While merchants used the applause as a material for their advertisements, curious listeners flocked to the stage every night and poured money into experiencing that fake-magnificent harmony live.”

Apparent self-confidence and hidden emptiness… While public appreciation showers applause on a magnificent show, it hides real needs and silent inadequacies; the guitarist’s confident stance on stage becomes part of a social illusion, while the audience loses its search for a “real voice” behind the applause. This paradox makes us think about how false confidence resonates with the community; the gap between image and essence, how the desire to conform to fashion overshadows deep questioning, and how populist performances act as a shield in times of crisis.

The Mongs are a silent utopia where colors speak instead of words, each composed of color-blind individuals whispering their inner search. The tension between belonging and alienation, freedom and commitment, loneliness and collective harmony creates sweet conflicts, giving birth to a new perspective each time. There is no absolute truth here; each Mong reconstructs the truth with their own filter.
