In ancient Greek culture, the "daimon" is not a personalized entity like the Olympian gods, but it is also not a universal or individual spirit. Existing as a disembodied force, the daimon acts as an intermediary between mortals and gods. As such, it carries the characteristics of both mortals and gods.

Figures such as ghosts, heroes, beings from Hades, and sages are also linked to the concept of the daimon. In classical texts, they are sometimes interpreted as fate or as concepts that control the destinies of individuals.

According to Plato's dialogue "Phaidon", dead people go to Hades under the guidance of the daimons that guided them during their lifetime, and are brought back by another daimon. Hesiod describes Zeus transforming the people of the Golden Age into daimons to guide mortals of the later era and to protect the land.

Daimon is a power or activity that carries the mortal being to immortality and the limited to eternity, even if it is not a god. Therefore, the work called "Daimon" was designed inspired by this concept and aims to remind a person to be aware of the choices he makes throughout his life.
