The Drunken Glass Set, offered by Halohope Design in its "From the Soil" series, is both humorous and imbued with the ancient spirit of centuries of experience. It originated as a work of traditional pottery, a centuries-old art practiced in Cappadocia, the heart of Anatolia. It draws its raw materials from the characteristically red soil of the Kızılırmak basin. It is then shaped by skilled hands with half a century of pottery experience.

The glasses take their name "Drunk" from a humorous story. Legend has it that a potter fell asleep from exhaustion while working late at night in his workshop. The product he was working on before falling asleep took on this natural, delicate, grooved shape in his hand. Upon waking and noticing this, the potter named the accidentally created motif "Drunk," and over time, this epithet became synonymous with the goblets' name.

As you sip your drink with these Drunk Glasses, you'll feel the smooth texture of the earth and savor the delicate lines crafted by expert hands. Their texture and shape create a unique grip. Offered in three different liquid capacities and in sizes of 4, 6, and 8, this set is an authentic addition to your bar or dining table.

Product Dimensions

The smallest size, 200-220 ml, is ideal for wine; the medium size, 330-350 ml, is ideal for tea and coffee; and the largest size, 500-600 ml, is ideal for beer.

Material

Drunk Glasses are handcrafted from natural clay. They contain no pigments, glazes, or glazes. They can be used for both hot and cold beverages.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Because the surface is unglazed, we recommend using hot water without detergent for the first few washes. Afterward, you can use detergent or wash it in the dishwasher.
