Designed by Le Corbusier in 1963 for the Parliament in Chandigarh, India , the Parliament is a symbol of 1950s modernism and was inspired by the industrial lighting of the period. The adjustable diffuser consists of two open symmetrical cones providing direct and indirect illumination. The surfaces reflect the “claviers de couleurs” color system developed by the Swiss-French master.
